The world No. 3 was later diagnosed with a stress fracture in his ribs. McIlroy targeted Mexico a four-round, no-cut event, with a scheduled week off following the tournament as his return date. Thats still the plan, McIlroys manager, Sean OFlaherty, said in an email. Rory is aiming to play next week in Mexico.
McIlroy told NoLayingUp.com that he played with President Donald Trump on Sunday in South Florida. McIlroy said he played off the forward tees but that his swing was nearly full speed.
