But this week the 14-time major champ announced that his design company will soon go to work creating a 10-hole, short course as part of a new development on the island of Eleuthra in the Bahamas.The private club, called Jack's Bay, is expected to open next year. The course will be Woods' first design in the Bahamas and will be called "The Playgrounds," the same name he gave to the short course he built at Bluejack National outside Houston. Holes are expected to range from 70-165 yards in length."I am honored to be a part of this spectacular project in paradise," Woods said in a release. "The amazing convergence of land and sea calls for an equally unique and incredible golf experience that TGR Design can deliver. The golf course complements this luxury resort destination because it's designed for golfers to have fun, while still being challenged."In addition to Bluejack National, Woods has also completed both a regulation layout and a short course at El Cardonal at Diamante in Mexico. Jack's Bay joins a list of ongoing projects that also includes Trump World Golf Club in Dubai and Pacific Links National Golf Club in China.
