Since 2013 the top 125 on the FedExCup points list also retain their tour cards for the following season. After the second playoff event, the top 30 players advance to the final event. Accumulated points are reset, so the #1 player has 2000 points, the #2 player has 1800 points, down to the #30 player who is given 168 points.
